Sustainability should support people, our planet, and be profitable. Ian Peterman, leading expert in Conscious Design, legacy branding, and product development, shares his personal experience as well as interviews forward thinkers, designers, and entrepreneurs on how to make a better world through conscious design. Join us for weekly episodes packed with unique perspectives and innovative ideas.
Today on the Conscious Podcast, Ian welcomes David Baggs, who begins by explaining what his company is all about and how they are unique. David explains how they screen products to know if the products are not harmful to the end user. Then David continues to talk more about the sustainability of the products, explaining the problems with serviceability and spare parts. Ian then asks Peter about the journey and interesting stories to which David reacts with an overview of his journey and how has the industry changed from his experience. David also describes the problems they are having concerning the negatives of many of the products and the measurement of these impacts but provides a way how to look at problems like these more effectively. David also talks about some of the improvements in the industry that they are providing to the world and what they are all about. Another thing which they discuss is the problem with obtaining resources needed for production and David mentions how there is often little to no interest in how companies obtain energy and resources for the manufacturing process. In the guest outro, David invites everybody who is interested to contact him and thanks Ian for the podcast.
