Sustainability should support people, our planet, and be profitable. Ian Peterman, leading expert in Conscious Design, legacy branding, and product development, shares his personal experience as well as interviews forward thinkers, designers, and entrepreneurs on how to make a better world through conscious design. Join us for weekly episodes packed with unique perspectives and innovative ideas.
Welcome back to another episode of the Conscious Design Podcast and today Ian welcomes his guest Jon M Quigley of Value Transformation. They start off, as usual, with a brief guest introduction and the priorities and health work/life balance. Ian and Jon have a long talk about how passionate working differs from working for a paycheck. Jon talks more about how the meaning and reason for doing a certain job can define how hard you will be able to work on a project. Ian and Jon then continue talking about how humor helps to break the ice and makes the team work overall better. Ian stirs the debate into a topic about the courage to speak up against some wrongdoing and how that individual is needed in every team, no matter the backlash they might face, to which, Jon agrees. Jon then shares his top observations on how to prevent a burnout in a team and in an individual. During the parting words, Jon shares his contact details and invites you to chat with him.
